I started my independent practice after 30 years of experience working in the industry.  During those years, it became obvious to me that the architectural profession has largely lost it's focus.  The profession is no longer measuring success by how well we meet the needs and budgets of our clients, but by how well our work is judged by our peers.

My philosopy, and my practice, is based on the idea that architecture is-at its core- a SERVICE industry with an artistic component.

I believe that high-quality building design can dramatically enhance everyday life and if properly done can be accomplished within even minimal budgets.  Thanks to the strides made in building development software over the last decade, professional architectural work is now more affordable and cost-effective than it has ever been.  I invite you to review our featured projects, and allow us to provide you with the architectural services that will exceed your expectations, and assist you in achieving your vision, within your budget.

The active practice of architecture today is dramatically different than it was even a decade ago.  The old model of maintaining a large office with multiple architects, drafters and support staff, the constant pursuit of large projects required to maintain that office and the attendant salaries and overhead is no longer an effective way of delivering the highest quality of architectural services to clients.  It costs too much, is too slow and  far too often the needs and the desires of the client get lost somewhere between the first meeting and the final project.  My approach is different.  I am a sole practitioner and collaborate with a variety of engineering consultants and other architects who have the same philosophy.  My clients deal directly with me at all times during the design process so my focus remains on developing a project that achieves the clients' vision of success.

Meeting my clients needs today means providing a wide variety of building related service in addition to design.  Those services include but are not limited to:

Full architectural design and permitting from concept to completion

Preparation of Technical Specifications

Full construction administration services, including bid assistance

Code Compliance Reviews

Plan Review and Certification

Building Condition Surveys and Reports

Preparation of Request for Proposals including Scope of Work Development

Project Development and Feasibility Studies
