This project added four additional guest rooms and new retail space to the first floor of an existing three-story, 92 room hotel in Seward, AK. New offices, meeting rooms and upgrades to the existing food service areas were included in the project. The first floor of the building, which is situated directly on the harbor in Seward, AK had long been underutilized and poorly laid out. This upgrade allowed the new owner to better utilize the space to support his tour business, in addition to providing additional guest rooms. One of the primary features of the remodel added two new restrooms on the first floor-a much needed amenity for guests arriving by tour bus or boat. Associated mechanical and electrical upgrades were included. This project is nearing completion this fall, 2016. Services included conceptual, schematic, design development and construction documents services, and permitting assistance.
