Wainwright Hotel and Restaurant Remodel

This existing restaurant and hotel building was originally built in the1980s, and is extremely important both historically and functionally to the North Slope Borough village of Wainwright.  The two story, wood framed building on a pile foundation houses a restaurant and meeting place on the first floor, and guest rooms on the second floor.  This project not only added an additional 1,800 square feet (900 sf to each floor), but also elevated the building an additional 2 feet to better meet the existing roadway.  The first floor addition included a large meeting/youth room, and the second floor addition added four guest rooms, including one accessible room.  Renovations to the existing commercial kitchen, heating and plumbing systems and general overall finishes upgrades will serve this community for many years to come. This project was completed in 2018.
